okay, as everyone knows, the NAACP is deservedly coming under fire from FOX, Project21, and the right-blogosphere for their "Tea Party is Racists" lines.
Well, apparently Ben Jealous tried to do some twitter backtracking.. and he fails miserably. Note that everything in Blue , is a DIRECT copy of his tweets...
Will be on Hardball with Chris Matthews tonight to clarify my statements about the Tea Party. @hardballnaacp #NAACP101 12:24 PM Jul 13th via web
But here comes the Liberal-lefty logic that makes no sense: Pay really close attention:
Msg to @SarahPalinUSA : Not saying ur a racist. Not saying the Tea Party is racist #NAACP101 about 14 hours ago via web
So he's claiming he's not calling anyone a racist... (I really really really wish I had held my nose and watched the Hardball episode for once...)
What I AM saying to @SarahPalinUSA & Tea Party members: you have a responsibility to repudiate the racist elements of the Tea Party
Wait a minute.. you're saying the Tea Party is not racist, but you have to repudiate the racism? Total circular logic by the CEO of NAACP... this is the same NAACP that wanted to defend Twana Brawley, the same NAACP that was defending Malik Shizazz, the same NAACP that touts Louis "Jews need to die" Farrakhan (do we really want to go there) and someone to respect, "Mr. Hymietown" Jesse Jackson? Al "Never found a con i didn't like" Sharpton? Do you REALLY really want to go there, Mr. Jealous?
Dana decided this was where she was going to stop in her blog remarks.. but me? I'm a sucker for this sort of stupidity.. so let's keep going shall we?
As the nation's oldest & largest civil rts org NAACP believes wholeheartedly in freedom of assembly & ppl raising their voices n a democracy About 10 hours ago via webTell that to Mr.Gladney.. I have yet to hear the NAACP step up and support Mr. Gladney. In fact, I seem to remember something about him being accused of being an "Uncle Tom".
Within that right to freely assemble, however, comes responsibility- a responsibility to maintain civility while denouncing bigotry about 10 hours ago via webAgain, have you talked to Mr. Gladney yet? Btw .. name ANY Tea Party rally that has been anything other than civil? (By the way Civility <> bigotry.. two entirely different arguments.. and some of your "supported" groups have shown that they cannot be Civil and they cannot be "Bigot-free".).
Btw.. trying that "15 N" words against a Congressman has yet to be seen as to be legit... And Andrew I believe STILL has $100K available to anyone who can prove otherwise.
But here comes the best part for you idiots-liberals that just dont' seem to get it....
It is past time the Tea Party show some accountability for the actions of members of their movement. about 10 hours ago via web
As of yet, you have yet to prove that any bigotry-attacks by any one at any Tea Party organization. so what should a "grassroots" gathering do?
And don't use that clown who "claims" to be a Tea Party leader, anyone who has any kind of "pull" with those of us who consider ourselves believers in the TEA party actions has already said they have nothing to do with him and want nothing to do with him... (or is that not good enough of a repudiation for you, Mr. Jealous?)
As for having "pull", in case you had forgotten, there is no 'direct' leader of the Tea Party gatherings.. (no matter who you try to pin down as one, you CANNOT do it.). Even Mr. Hennessee, Mrs. Malkin, or Mrs. Palin are not _leaders_ of this movement.. so who do they actually have to account to? In fact, the only "spokesmen" the Tea Party activists have are the people that the media themselves gives air time to , to allow tea Partiers to air their grievances for us.
Unlike the NAACP who is an financed organization... in fact, there's this guy... by the name.. of.. oh what was his name... Oh yeah, Ben Jealous... who's organization has DIRECT ties to the Black Panthers (among others as listed in that article), who have been involved in Voter intimidation, racial slurs, and do we really have to point out the videos of Malik Shisazz. (no, I still can't spell his last name right, nor do I care to right now).
So by your own statement, shouldn't the NAACP be showing accountability and going after the above individuals? Or how about going after Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson.. or Twanna "I hate Duke men" Brawley, or Al Sharpton, or Malik "Kill all Cracka's" Shiazza, or Louis "Kill the Jew" Farrakhan.
What's that I hear? Nothing? Silence? Not a single reply?
But don't give me that bullshit about being "holier than thou" attitude, especially when it comes to an organization that has ties to the NBPP, the SEIU, ACORN/CIO and a few other organizations that have proven that they'd attack other individuals, scare a child in his own home, and a few other tactics that are well-documented around the internet.
