Like we needed any more proof

.. that unions are currently worthless in their current status, when they're wanting a Marine (there is no such thing as a truly "retired" Marine as my coworkers keep reminding me :) ) fired from his teaching job for not paying $500 in union dues.

First and foremost... the Major is NOT in the union.  So why should he have to pay dues for an organization he's not in?   He even says he has no reason to be in the union because the military pays all his benefits... Not the school.

Second.. I thought the union was about "protecting" teachers (oh wait , that's only for gullible "union" teachers who sit in the "rubber room").

Of course, I love the "passing the buck"

Worcester schools superintendent Melinda J. Boone said she has asked the district school attorney to investigate a way to keep Godin on board, but added, “this is really a union matter.
Hell, show some initiative, Ms. Boone.. either tell the Union to piss off, or tell the major (and the rest of the United States) that you're just a union-lackey.

As for the Major, kudos major for standing up to the education union thug groups.
