KMOV now "pro-illegal aliens".

Okay, I usually don't do a lot of local news issues, simply because I tend to avoid the local news, because I know what I'm getting from them.

But as of yesterday, they sunk to a NEW low, as they tried to play the "Sob story" of an illegal immigrant who married a Saint Louis woman... (one clip is below the link)

First let's see I have sympathy for the wife... she has a TOUGH decision to make.  But you know something?  We all have to make tough decisions through our life, and we have to live with the results of those decisions,

Now what the story and the apparent "journalist" noted... the gentleman in question had been in the United States for 10 years.. and he still can't speak English?     He's been driving a car in St. Louis, without a license. If you or i were caught doing the same, we get Jail time and a major financial charge against us!

But we're supposed to say that this is okay for the illegal alien, because.. and i use the words from the "journalist's" (and i only use this word,, because I"m being generous.. the better word would be "propogandist".) own article:

Miguel and his wife "Susan" admit he broke the law and that he should pay a price, but they argue that convicted killers and rapists are often given parole, why not a non-violent offender like Miguel?

Wow... did they really go there?   The wife (who the author is trying to make us feel sympathetic for) admits a price shoudl be paid?       Yes, Killers and rapists are _sometimes_  given parole (I think her trying to compare the two is just sickening... (but that's another self-serving, "we're not guilty of "that" much.), but usually NOT UNTIL THEY SERVE PART OF THEIR SENTENCE.

I'll tell you what, I'm going to go rob a bank and take all their money, but i should be just let go, I mean I'm not a normally violent person, but hey it was just a one time crime thing.

The rules are written.. the punishment for murders/rapists/etc. is jail time.

The punishment for illegal residency in the United States is deportation.

End of story.   If he wants parole, go back to Mexico, and do the process to be able to stay here _legally_.   Is it time consuming?   Absolutely, but hell, your husband has a leg up on othes, because he has an American spouse.  I'm betting you didn't know that did you?

But it gets even better... Note that in the story, this gentleman has been here 10 years.

It's unclear how hard Miguel worked to get the proper paperwork before he sneaked into the country a decade ago.

So let me see if i get this right.. he's been here 10 years, and the author can't find out how much of an effort the gentlemenamade NO effort to trying to get his citizenship.  In fact, the journalist  admits he made minimal effort to find out?    Hey Mr. Cheatham, you did the article, how about asking the wife!?!?    Would she be believable?  Dunno.. but it seems you didn't even bother to find out.

But it gets even better..
It's crystal clear that he violated the law and that he knew it because he sneaked into the country. Although he loves his wife, has paid his income taxes, and now has a legal tax ID number with the IRS, he still must be held accountable for his actions.
Note the idea of the entire paragraph... he's a good guy!  He does what he's supposed to!  He's a loving husband, he pays his taxe... er..  HOLD ON!!

Okay, someone explain to me how he managed to pay INCOME TAXES FOR 10 YEARS and not be on someone's radar?         How did he get a legal Tax ID number without someone noting that he's not even an American citizen?    Did someone lie on their 1040's and such?

Now if Mr. Cheatham wanted to do a real story, maybe he should have gone after the people that hired him..

It gets even better further down in the article...when mr. Cheatum decides it's your fault an dmin

It's clear that many of our viewers not only resent Miguel and his wife, but also me for reporting this story, and protecting their identities

Hold on!!  Now it's OUR FAULT??!!??

I have no resentment to Mr. Miguel... but Mr. Cheatum appears to know me so well already (or so he claims):

"It's clear that many of our viewers not only resent Miguel and his wife, but also me for reporting this story, and protecting their identities"

In otherwords, we are just mean, evil viewers, who have no sympathy or heart and don't know things as well as I do!

But here's the capper line:
If we ignore the voices of the roughly eleven million illegal immigrants in America, we fail to address a significant part of this issue.
These illegal ALIENS are not US citizens, then they have _NO VOICE_ in anything regards to how the US operates.   None, zilch, nada!

I'll tell you what Mr. Cheathum... since I"m not so worried about protecting identies, I suggest you go talk to the family members  of Amanda Thomas and Carl Patrick Epley .  Or how about the family of Nicole Allen.  Or how about Alonzo Foster?  Or Frankie Brooks?

Where's your sympathy for the victims from these non-violent offenders?

Of course, KMOV does have one thing definitely going in it's favor:
