Let me see if I have this right...
My company's health plan (the costs of which get passed on to me), are to be taxed.. but the plans for companies run by Unions DOES not get taxed for another 8 years?? And this is a "successful' negotiation?In a significant victory for unions, the 40 percent excise tax would not apply to policies covering workers in collective bargaining agreements, state and local workers and members of voluntary employee benefit associations through Dec. 31, 2017.
Someone explain to me how this is constituional and Legal?
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
(let's just ignore the Welfare clause, at that's a whole 'nudder debate.. .but what part of the phrase "Shall be uniform throughout"?
That's from Article I section 8 of that pesky document known as the US Constitution... god only knows what else in this Obamacare crap-sandwich is unconstitutional along the way.. not as though it matters, I mean itr's the "Chicago Way".
BTW.. does this mean that professional ball players don't have to pay this tax, but you and I will?
