Yes, I'm defending my state again, especially after reading crap like this
The latest candidate using Mississippi as an example of what-we-don't-want-our-state-to-be is Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza.
One of three Democrats in a Aug. 10 primary, Entenza started running a TV ad in his home state Thursday with images of Minnesota construction workers, schoolchildren, fire trucks and police cars fading away.
"If budget cuts were always the answer, then Mississippi would be a leader in this country," Entenza says in the ad.
It's a line Entenza also weaves into speeches as he runs for a seat that Republican Tim Pawlenty will leave early next year.
First and foremost.. I really thing I should pass this on to your Minnesota fvoters.. cause apparently, budget cuts and low taxes are a bad thing? I take it you haven't seen those T"axed" E"nough" A'lready" gatherings that have been going on, have you, Mr. Entenza.
Oh that's right, you can barely see us over your 2012 $4.0 BILLION (that's with a "B" by the way) budget deficit in Minnesota. . (at least Misssissippi hasn't overspent by even a Billion yet... last count was $232M..)
And he wasn't done yet..
Entenza said Minnesota has historically been near the top and Mississippi near the bottom on education and health care "and now we're falling down to that level."Now I'll give you the first half.. the education has always stunk in Mississippi, unfortunately. But once again, this is just proof that Mr. "too mighty for some low-life state like Mississippi" Entenza barely even stepped foot in my former state. "Super low Service"? I'm just guessing the Southern life style is just a bit too laid back for you.
"Their approach is super-low taxes, super-low service, and they just kind of leave people on their own," he said.
As for the other two comments.. "Super Low Taxes" and "Leave People on their own"... Wow! He actually said something nice about Mississippi (Hey libertarians.. there's your motto, right?)
But you, go right on ahead and keep threatening to overspend and raise taxes on your Minnesota constituents, Entenza... I'm sure they'll really appreciate that.
